ZIN, CEO of Trickle Down Entertainment has been an influential figure in Houston’s Hip-Hop movement for over 16 years. He is a writer, producer, social activist, and MC. In 1995, ZIN founded Trickle Down Entertainment, a socially conscious entertainment corporation encompassing a broad range of businesses including music production and recording, artist management and development.
In 2000, ZIN recorded and released his first album under Trickle Down Entertainment entitled, Y2K Compliant Soul to critical acclaim. Mental Graffiti is the latest installment by ZIN which is a solid mix of Hip-Hop and Soul. Mental Graffiti is scheduled for release in late June 2009.
In addition to his work in music production, ZIN has hosted S.O.S Radio on KPFT 90.1 FM, a Hip-Hop and social commentary driven radio program since 2002. Guests on S.O.S. have included Erykah Badu, Public Enemy, Raheem Devaughn, and Michael Eric Dyson.
ZIN is also very active in grassroots community service projects. He is Chairmen of the NOW Committee, an organization comprised of musicians and artists who clean and beautify the neighborhoods of Houston communities. He also managed a Hurricane Katrina Disaster relief project in 2005 through S.O.S Radio which raised funds for the citizens of New Orleans.
Being a child of the Hip-Hop generation has given ZIN the drive, desire, and passion to enlighten his community through thought provoking art and community activism.
