I was unable to make it to Memphis, but with the on the grounds work of Final Call Assistant Editor Ashahed M. Muhammad and excellent photographer Mikal Veale, we're still able to bring you these exclusive shots.

Memphis is the center attention with Minister Farrakhan and thousands travelling from across the globe to observe the World Holy Day of Atonement and commemorate the 14th Anniversary of the Million Man March October 16-18.

According to a message posted on Twitter by Bro. Ashahed (@AshahedM) on Oct. 16, Minister Farrakhan "addressed members of the Black spiritual, political & educational leadership here in Memphis. Outstanding message!"

Bro. Ashahed also tweeted that "In Min. Farrakhan's message at the leadership forum, he advised them to read both of the letters he wrote to former President George W. Bush."

On the evening of Oct. 16, Brother A. Akbar Muhammad and Brother Carlos Muhammad of Baltimore presented a Pictorial History of the Nation of Islam at the Cook County Convention Center.

Min. Farrakhan addressed the Nation of Islam body on the morning of Saturday, October 17. Later that afternoon, The Louis Farrakhan Prostate Cancer Foundation hosted a special Town Hall Healthcare Forum. The purpose of the forum was to address the alarming rate of prostrate cancer in Memphis as was reported in a local newspaper. It was stated that African American men from the Memphis metropolitan area had a 238% higher rate of cancer than their counterparts who reside in Shelby County.
