According to a very credible source, The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam, has officially joined Twitter. This is great news. Since I have been on Twitter, the past three years, countless people kept asking me "When is Farrakhan going to get on Twitter?" Well the wait is over! I've seen numerous fake accounts attached to his name but he is officially tweeting from the account: @TheOfficialHMLF
His first tweet, pictured above, was posted on the morning of March 30, 2011. Since that time I've seen tweets regarding some of his speaking engagements and interviews, which is good for people trying to follow his public appearances. Of course the added plus is his words of wisdom such as the following tweets posted on April 13th and 17th:
His Twitter followers, which includes me, got a huge surprise on the evening of April 17 when the Minister actually started responding to some of the questions. I was scrambling trying to spread the word so people could take advantage of possibly having their question personally answered by him. He responded to six questions including this one related to youth:
You can read his other answers on his timeline. Before concluding the Q/A, he tweeted this statement regarding the new Malcolm X biography released by the late Dr. Manning Marble: "I am presently reading the book "Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention" and will answer questions regarding it once I am done."
I am sure his followers, online and offline, can't wait to hear his thoughts. I'm presently reading the book as well and I too await his insight into the book. I invite all of my Twitter followers, Facebook friends and Blog readers to follow Minister Farrakhan on his official Twitter account @TheOfficialHMLF
