I have learned that many people live out their fantasies, dreams, ambitions, and goals through the lives of famous celebrities and reality shows. Are we living our best life? Have we found our purpose for existence yet? If so, are we working toward its fulfillment every day? If we are married to excuses, procrastination, doubt, fear, pride, arrogance, laziness, cowardice and low self-esteem, we should file for divorce immediately. Why? Those relationships are going nowhere fast!
On yesterday I was thinking about the passage in the Bible that talks about the church (bride) preparing themselves for a marriage to The Lamb. It’s in Revelations 19:17 where it states "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready." (KJV version)
Some Biblical commentators say the meaning is that the church (wife) or body of Christ was now to triumph and rejoice in a permanent union with their (her) glorious Lord. The readiness of the bride wasn't necessarily like Catherine's hunt for the perfect wedding gown or Prince Williams’s tuxedo fittings, rather it’s about letting “this mind be in you. The same that was in Christ Jesus."
What kind of mindset is that? I know for certain it is the kind of mindset that says “Be and It Is” then goes to work to make it reality despite all opposition. What do you think?
In Self-Improvement Study Guide 11, titled "Allah (God) is the True Center of Everything", the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan writes "If He (Allah) directs a path, then it will ultimately lead to Him. His Attributes are perfect, His are the Best of names. This means that with His direction, we achieve excellence in whatever field we choose."
What are you married to on a daily basis? We are, we become, what we constantly think about. Ok, I'm putting up the ‘Blog Pulpit’ and will keep working to better myself for the real Royal Wedding. Tell excuses, procrastination, laziness, weakness, doubt, fear, pride, arrogance, and low self-esteem that they are not on the guest list. If they show up I'm calling security and they will be arrested on site.
I pray you find your purpose in Him. (smile)
