Fall Forward! Denzel Washington Delivers Commencement Speech at UPenn

Denzel Washington, internationally renowned actor and director, delivered the commencement address at the University of Pennsylvania on Monday, May 16, 2011. Interestingly, the award-winning actor admitted he was nervous about delivering the address but shared some great words. "In Life you will fall, but Fall Forward!" he said.

Further along in the address he stated "You gotta get out there. You gotta give it everything you got--whether its your time, your talents, your prayers or your treasures. Because remember this: You will never see a U-haul behind a hearse. You can’t take it with you. So the question is what are you going to do with what you have?"

Watch it and let me know what you think!

  1. It's a great message for todays climate and the current generation. The business and culture today is so risk averse that little innovation or real creativity is tolerated, except for entertainment purposes. It's time for America to aspire to fall forward. I agree. Thanks Jesse for sharing this with all.
