Speaking Tour Update: Spreading Inspiration at Woodson Leadership Summit, MacArthur Male Initiative and Lone Star College

My speaking tour for the month of October has been AWESOME. Things kicked off on October 5 with the Woodson Leadership Academy's Leadership Summit in Houston. I was invited to be one of many speakers who rotated to multiple classes to present on a particular subject to middle school students. I delivered four 30 minutes sessions to four different classes on "Purpose, Vision and Courage." Thank you to the administration for the invite and thank you to the students for not falling asleep on me. (smile)

As part of the newly launched male initiative at MacArthur High School in Houston, I was the featured speaker on October 19 for two classes of male students on campus. This initiative is focused on inspiring the young men by having one speaker every week from various fields of endeavor. I received a lot of great feedback from the students and I am looking forward to returning soon.

For the first time, I had the honor of bring a guest of Elevated Places Blog Talk Radio show hosted by one of my role models, Dr. Ava Muhammad. The hour and half segment aired live on October 20 and I was interviewed along with Dr. Ridgley Muhammad, manager of Muhammad Farms in Georgia. It was an in-depth discussion of the recent messages delivered by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan on Oct. 9 and 16. Check out the replay of the interview here. The next day, I was a guest on Harlem 411 Radio show along with Certified Organic Farmer Ray Muhammad to discuss doing for self, growing our own food and world affairs.

On October 25, I spoke at Lone Star College 's Greenspoint Campus in Houston as well. This time my audience was a GED Adult Education class. I was invited in to give them some motivation as they prepare for their examination in the coming weeks. I must admit, I was FIRED UP that day and delivered what I consider to be one of my best messages of the year. As a result of my presentation, I was told by the campus administrator who invited be that there is something brewing in a terms of a working relationship in the near future. Will keep you posted on that.

Its a blessing to serve others. Where will I be next? Check the speaking tour schedule! http://jessemuhammad.blogs.finalcall.com/p/speaking-tour.html
