I spent half of my day on January 13 on the campus of Forest Brook Middle School in Houston and it was very rewarding. The school is a part of North Forest ISD, a district that is slated to be annexed by the state of Texas due to low academic performance. Contrary to popular belief, this district has and can produce great people. I'm a 1997 graduate of Forest Brook Senior High School. So I never turn down the opportunity to speak in my former district. This time I was invited to speak to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders during their separate honor roll programs. I took pictures with the students who won awards! We had a wonderful time and I will be posting the audio from my talks real soon.
