Special words from Howard Morgan to his supporters: "Hold your heads up high no matter what the decision is."

Howard Morgan, the Black ex-cop who was convicted after being shot 28 times by four White cops, is scheduled to appear back in court in Chicago on Thursday, April 5. His wife, Rosalind Morgan, is asking all supporters to meet at 8:00am wearing Black and White. The sentencing is set to take place at the Criminal Court Building at 2650 South California (Courtroom 600) Judge Clayton J. Crane Presiding.

According to their website, the Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge 7 is urging all of its members to pack the courtroom as well. If you live in Chicago, I strongly urge you to go and stand with the Howard Morgan family and flood the courthouse!

Today, Mrs. Morgan received the following words from her husband to his supporters regarding his upcoming sentencing. She wanted us to share these words with the world. Mr. Morgan said:

"Thank you for your prayers and support through this time of injustice inflicted upon me. I am disabled and incarcerated and the perpetrators that shot me are allowed to go free. God bless them too, for the Lord said, vengeance is His. On tomorrow, I may not be able to speak to you, I will be able to see you as some of you may be able to see me. Please continue praying for me and my family. Please protect my wife Rosalind and my family until we are re-united together again. Hold your heads up high no matter what the decision is, we will be victorious."
