I am a member of the Nation of Islam under the leadership of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. I am a product of Forest Brook Senior High School and Prairie View A&M University.

I developed a passion for blogging in 2007 and launched Brother Jesse Blog. Surprisingly, I walked away with three honors from the 2009 Black Weblog Awards for this blog including Blog of the Year. I was honored to be a finalist in their 2010 and 2011 awards voting in the categories of Best Faith Blog, Best News/Political Blog and Best Microblog.
